Deb and Joe on ship New Arrival at Newport News, VA

Deborah and Joseph Riss are the proud parents of a 34-foot Catalina sailboat christened Boofish Too. They enjoy sailing along the eastern seaboard and Chesapeake Bay near their home.

Broken Hip in Anita, IA

Iris Bailey, Vesta's mother, broke her hip and spent several weeks in the hospital prior to six weeks at Colonial Manor. Daily physical therapy prepared her for returning to her home in Anita. She continues to "take it slow" but does very well at age 87. Dwight and Vesta visited her in June and they all attended the family reunion in Prescott, IA.

The Moving Van Surprise Move from Kansas City, MO

Dwight moved from Kansas City to New Orleans to live close to his mother. He telecommutes his work plus handles all the handman and yard work. He's a great help with cooking too!

Major Relocation to Edwardsville, IL

Doug left Corpus Christi, TX for an excellent position with Shell. The family visited New Orleans in route to their new home near St. Louis, MO. The three boys are back in Boy Scouts and school activities: computers and violin for Chris, competitive swimming and band for John, roller blading and soccer for Daniel. Doug and Carol will be the hosts for our family Christmas this year.

After a busy year at St. Bernard Parish Library, Vesta looks forward to spending two weeks "up north" over the holidays with the family. Vesta and Dwight wish you a Christmas filled with the warmth of caring, the joy of togetherness, the love of friends and family, and happy memories that linger long after the season is gone.
